Instructors in charge are specifically invested with the responsibility for maintaining appropriate standards of health, safety and welfare. Instructors in charge will endeavour to ensure that appropriate health, safety and welfare advice is provided and complied with.
It is vital to emphasize that the participants health, safety and welfare during a course will not be the sole responsibility of the Instructor in charge. Participants have a responsibility for their own health, safety and welfare. Importantly, participants must adhere to all instructions given by the Instructor in charge. There is a responsibility placed on parents/guardians to ensure that as far as is reasonably practicable, participants take responsibility as aforementioned. All our courses are run by experienced and fully qualified instructors. Safety is adhered to at all times, and appropriate safety equipment supplied for each course
At a minimum, all these sessions are led by an Instructor with a Single Pitch Supervisor Award.
Forest Bushcraft is run under the license of Forest Adventure Ltd and is registered with The Adventure Activities Licensing Authority to provide Water Sports, Climbing, Caving, Mine Exploration and Mountaineering. Our registration number is L3061/R0187. This ensures that we have in place the necessary Risk Assessments and recommended good practice procedures in compliance with the National Governing Bodies and Licensing Authority. Forest Bushcraft instructors are professional in their field of expertise, hold currant first Aid certificates, which means that you can be rest assured that you are good hands.
All our activities and courses are insured through the Adventure Activity Insurance Scheme (five million pounds public liability). Forest Adventure are members of the Institute of outdoor learning. We advise all participants to take out their own personal accident insurance.
